Bio
Born and raised in the DMV. OzoneOso, real name Omar, is a Hip-Hop R&B/Jazz Artist with a concentration in Trumpet/Keys/Bass. He is a Singer/Songwriter and a combo Producer/Mixer/Engineer. Previously a guest entertainer on Holland America Cruise Lines, he served as a Musical Director for the BB King Blues Club Experience aboard various Holland America Cruise Line Ships. He has over 6 years of cruise ship experience!
He is currently working on his 1st studio album entitled "ZoneFaces" and will be releasing his 1st instrumental album very soon. He recently released his 1st collaborative project for an artist named "Larawnn" and was featured on a project with "TaylorChin, Ceandriaa and Grome Productions! The project was entitled "When We Touch" All of which are currently available on all media platforms.
As a producer, OzoneOso is known for heart stopping and thumping drums, but more importantly, he has an extensive background in classical music and jazz theory, and has received many praises for his immersive compositions and arrangements.
Ozone has played for many bands, but in Maryland he is currently playing with the Re-Up Go-Go band as a trumpet player and frontline singer. He has also played with Changing Phaces Band, the Elementz Band, PumpBlenders, and the ReBirth Band. He has recently joined with the legendary Trouble Funk with Big Tony as a vocalist and horn player. He also plays on the side with an agency band known as the “PartyRockers” where they perform all over the DMV area for weddings, party events, birthdays and more.
For his education, he attended School at Howard University in 2005, and then moved to Delaware where he completed his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science at Delaware State University in 2009. GO Hornets! He was the trumpet section leader and the tenor section leader in the choir under the direction of Dr. Curtis Everett Powell. Currently he is also serving as a 4th grade Reading Teacher in an effort to infuse music with Reading to give back to the kids in the community.
